Volunteers

NABA will be accepting a limited number of volunteers. At least 4 volunteer hours are required in order to receive reimbursement of conference registration. Volunteers must be NABA members and must register and pay for the conference in advance. Please email student-rep@nevadaaba.org if you are interested in applying to be a volunteer at our 2017 conference.

 

Volunteer Roles:

 

Photographer

Responsibilities include taking photographs during each of the invited speakers' presentations, the conference poster session, and downtime (e.g., between speaker presentations). Photographers will need to share photographs with the NABA board or volunteer coordinators upon request.

Registration & Check-in

Responsibilities include managing the registration/check-in desk, answering conference attendees' questions, checking in registered attendees, facilitating on-site registration of attendees when applicable, and handling sales of NABA merchandise. Volunteers in this role will be assigned shifts and additional responsibilities (as applicable) by the On-Site Volunteer Coordinator.

Transportation

Responsibilities include driving invited speakers between the Reno airport and the Whitney Peak Hotel upon their arrival and prior to their departure. Volunteers in this role will be assigned pick up/drop off times by the Transportation Volunteer Coordinator, and will need to arrive at the designated pick up/drop off locations in a timely manner (i.e., 5-10 minutes prior to scheduled pick up/drop off).

Usher

Responsibilities include management of conference room seating: ensuring empty seats are filled, aisles are clear, and standing room occupancy is kept to a minimum. Volunteers in this role will be assigned shifts and additional responsibilities (as applicable) by the On-Site Volunteer Coordinator.
